Free online Gantt chart maker
Plan a project on a clear timeline without installing anything. Group work into phases, set start and end dates for each task, add milestones for key deadlines and track progress as the plan moves. It works for product launches, software releases, construction schedules, event plans and team roadmaps.
Your plan stays on your device. The tool autosaves to your browser and lets you download the whole plan as a JSON file, so you control where it lives and who gets a copy.
How to make a Gantt chart
- 1
Name the project and set its dates
Type a project name, then use the calendar icon in the chart toolbar to set the start and end dates.
- 2
Add phases and tasks
Use Add phase to group work, then Add task or the plus icon on a phase row. Rename anything by typing in its name.
- 3
Schedule by dragging
Drag a bar to move it, or drag its edges to change the start or end date. You can also pick exact dates in the date popover.
- 4
Track progress and risk
Set a progress percentage and turn on the Delay risk switch. Risky tasks show a hatched bar and a warning mark.
- 5
Save your plan
Autosave keeps a draft in your browser. Click Save project to download a JSON file you can reopen or share.
