front of driving licence

back of driving licence (optional)

Car rental companies, employers, insurers and some apps ask for a copy of your driving licence. A Malaysian driving licence is the same size as an IC, so the same A4 layout works: front on top, back below, in one PDF.

Tips for a sharp licence photo

  • Use a dark, plain background so the card edges are easy to crop.
  • Hold the phone directly above the card, not at an angle.
  • Avoid flash. It causes glare on the card surface.
  • Zoom into the preview and check the licence classes and expiry date are readable.

Mark it for its purpose

If you are sending the copy to a rental company or employer, you can add a purpose such as FOR XYZ CAR RENTAL ONLY. Choose Cross lines + purpose text or Diagonal watermark. See what to write on a crossed copy.

Need your IC as well?

Make a separate PDF with the same tool. See the IC photocopy template. To join both PDFs into one file, use Merge PDF.
